Things to Consider
Notes from my teachers
Let go of seeking something. Trust that something will arrive. Be willing to be surprised.
Notice any desire to assign meaning. Remember we are not looking for meaning.
No story! No judgement! It’s a task!
Don’t be afraid to let it be ordinary. Don’t be afraid to let it mean nothing. Don’t be afraid to let it be ugly!
Accept resistance... and do it anyway. Struggle!
Consider: How kind, patient and loving can you be (to yourself)?
Be patient with the process. Be willing to wait and see what happens.
Don’t force it. If you’re getting bored, try changing your approach. Where is your curiosity?
It’s easy to compare and contrast your various circles, losing sight of the task. Don’t.
Be careful of making too many rules or being too ambitious with the practice. Keep it simple.
Manage your expectations. Keep it simple and pure. See where curiosity goes.
Take notice of how the practices seep into the everyday.
Doing circles is like holding grains of sand in your hand. It takes time, but suddenly you can feel their weight.
